The trust and confidence of our clients is important to us and we are committed to maintaining that trust. We do not sell any client data to any third parties, nor do we share any contact information for marketing purposes. Types of Data We Collect
Website Cookies
Our websites use cookies to collect information. This includes information about browsing and purchasing behaviour by people who access our websites. This includes information about pages viewed, products purchased and the customer journey around our websites. Detailed information is set out in our Cookie Policy.
Goolge Analytics
When someone visits www.hillcrestanimalhospital.co.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Payments
We do not store full payment card details on our own servers. We work with external PCI-compliant payment processors (Stripe & Barclaycard) who store these details.
We store the last 4 digits of your card and the card type on our systems so that you can identify which card will be used for future payments.
For online orders, we also store the country that the card was registered in and the IP address country that the card was added from as a legal obligation to ensure that the correct VAT rate is charged for your payments.
Note about Paypal: If you pay for our services using Paypal, we do not control the data that you provide to Paypal in order to make your payment. Paypal share minimal information with us regarding your payment. You should refer to their privacy notices for details on how they manage this information.
Call Logs and Recordings
If you choose to phone us, we will store a log of your call which may include your telephone number if it was sent to us. We also record calls for the purposes of auditing any requests that might be made by you to us over the phone.
What We Do With Your Data
Vaccination Reminders
We use a third-party provider, Chameleon by MSD Animal Health, to send all of our clients an annual vaccination reminder for their pets. We provide Chameleon with the name and address of any client/animal that is due their booster. You can opt-out of these booster reminders at any time by contacting our team on 01257 262448.
