To ensure the highest standard of care we have our own advanced imaging systems and an in-house laboratory - allowing us to rapidly diagnose illnesses and concentrate on treatments without delay.
We encourage booking with your personal vet for continuity of care. Please ask for your vet when you phone.
The in house laboratory delivers results quickly, saving time and avoiding anxiety of our clients. Ultrasound and electrocardiography are just two of the other diagnostic tools which we have in the hospital. A wide range of operations are carried out in the modern operating suite ranging from the highly complex or specialist to the more straight forward. Complex orthopaedic surgery is often undertaken by referral from other practices in the north of England. Keyhole surgery is an increasingly useful diagnostic and surgical tool used at Hillcrest. Sometimes appropriate alternative methods may be used such as acupuncture which has proved to be successful and popular with clients.
Before and after treatment animals are given tender loving care in the hospital ward. We provide full hospitalisation for patients when necessary. We have intensive care incubators which are temperature controlled and oxygen fed and have saved many precious lives.
Prevention is better than cure and we therefore have a number of clinics and workshops which promote good health and behaviour. These include weight clinics, kitten and puppy development clinics, rabbit care clinics and behavioural clinics.
